Documentation for Fy2Press 1.0.0. The free plugin is available on WordPress.org. PRO is sold separately through Freemius, our licensing and payment provider.

In three steps

  1. Choose a dynamic Gutenberg block or a fy2press_* shortcode.
  2. Supply the required product, collection or current-context value.
  3. Preview the page and follow the buying action back to Shopify checkout.

This guide describes Fy2Press 1.0.0. Screens can change in later versions, so check the version shown on the Plugins screen before you follow it.

Expected result

Products and collections appear in your WordPress pages with the included designs, blocks or shortcodes, and the buying action leads customers to Shopify.

Show synchronized products in WordPress pages with the included designs, 17 blocks and 27 shortcodes, while buying stays on Shopify.

Before you begin

  • At least one synchronized product and collection.
  • A WordPress page or article where the products are useful, such as a buying guide.
  • Your theme’s content width, to judge the result.
  • The indexing choices made in Google and SEO.

Plan a way back before you start: a backup or a staging copy, the Shopify product you will compare with, and the WordPress page that should show the result. Start with a small test that you can repeat.

What this covers

FREE includes 17 Gutenberg blocks, 27 shortcodes, one product design and one collection design. Native Elementor and WPBakery components belong to the separate paid PRO edition. Your theme also shapes the final appearance.

Remember who does what: Shopify keeps products, inventory, orders, payments and checkout; Fy2Press brings the catalog into WordPress and displays it; WordPress hosts your pages and editorial content. Nothing in this guide moves orders, customers or payments to WordPress.

Steps

  1. Open Design to adjust the product and collection designs included in FREE, then check desktop and mobile.
  2. Edit a WordPress page and add a Fy2Press block, or copy an exact shortcode from Add to my pages or Help.
  3. Start small: a heading, a short explanation and the relevant products.
  4. Preview the page outside the editor, choose a variant and try the filters.
  5. Follow the buying action to Shopify without completing an unauthorized test payment.

Review the result before you share a page publicly. A success message is a good sign, but the public page and the Shopify buying path must agree too.

Check the result

  • The product name, price and image match the synchronized record.
  • The page reads well on a phone, without horizontal scrolling.
  • The buying action goes to the cart or checkout of the right Shopify store.

Check the result where visitors will see it: open the public WordPress page, not only the Fy2Press screen, and compare a representative product with Shopify, including its price, availability, variants and collection. Repeat a small change once to confirm that the behaviour is stable.

Common problems

  • A block is empty: it needs a product or collection to display, so pick one in the block settings.
  • A shortcode shows as plain text: check its exact name in Add to my pages; public names start with fy2press_.
  • The layout differs between editors: Gutenberg, shortcodes and PRO builders are separate tools, so compare them with the reference guides rather than expecting identical output.

When something unexpected happens, stop large operations and try again with one product and one page. Keep the exact error message before you change settings or clear caches.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm the plugin version and edition (FREE or PRO).
  2. Reproduce the problem with one test product.
  3. Decide whether the issue comes from Shopify, Fy2Press or your WordPress theme.
  4. Compare the result with what your edition includes, as described in the edition guide.
  5. Restore your test setup, try once more and note whether the result repeats.

Security and data

Never paste tokens into page content or custom HTML. Custom CSS and page builders are publishing tools; give access to them only to trusted people.

If you ask for help, note the plugin version, the WordPress and PHP versions, your theme or page builder, the page address and the steps you followed. Use test products, and remove tokens, customer data, order details and private addresses from screenshots before sharing them.

Check the final page: title, headings, links and the preferred product address. A good preview in the editor does not show what search engines receive, and these settings support your choices without guaranteeing indexing or rankings.

Keep the system boundary visible

Shopify remains the commerce source; Fy2Press moves catalog records and rendering contracts; WordPress owns publication.

Shopify · catalog source and checkout

Fy2Press · manual sync and rendering

WordPress · content, templates and SEO surface

Verify before moving on

  • Confirm the result in WordPress, not only in the Fy2Press interface.
  • Keep cart and checkout on Shopify.
  • Record the installed version when reporting a defect.
